Welcoming Tian, our new teacher!

For Term 1, we welcome Tian as part of our teaching staff for 2019!

Tian is a versatile musician hailing from Canada. She has 12 years of experience accompanying choirs and soloists, and 4 years experience in teaching music to a wide variety of students. Her piano repertoire ranges from classical music, to Japanese video games, French musicals and pop songs.

A multi-instrumentalist, Tian is available for piano, clarinet, violin, guitar and ukulele lessons, as well as tutoring.

She has performed with various bands and shows, with credits including Les Miserables, Little Shop of Horrors, Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat, and Footloose, first violin with the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

As the director and conductor of an all-inclusive international choir at the University of Toronto, she taught music appreciation to a wide audience. More recently, Tian has performed with the grammy-nominated Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and is currently a member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
